NotNatch is a Discord bot run by Natchland Studios, a sole trader business in the United Kingdom. This page says what the bot and this website keep about you, why, and how to get it deleted. Questions go to studio@natchland.com.

What the bot keeps

  • Server settings the server's staff choose, like log channels, roles and messages.
  • Things tied to your Discord user ID in a server: levels and XP, warnings and other moderation cases, reminders, birthdays (day and month only), invite counts, tags you made, giveaway entries and suggestion votes.
  • Scheduled jobs that need your ID to run, like a temporary role being taken back.

The bot doesn't store the text of your messages. It reads them to run features a server has switched on, like automod and logging. Logs and ticket transcripts are posted into the server's own channels, where that server's staff control them.

What the website keeps

  • When you sign in with Discord: your user ID, username and avatar, the IDs of the servers you can manage (read once at sign in so you can open their dashboards), and when you accepted these terms. Never your messages.
  • A sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for 30 days. No tracking or advertising cookies.
  • If you buy Premium: which servers you gave it to, and the Stripe customer and subscription IDs. Payments are handled by Stripe, card details never reach us.

Why

We keep this to run the features you and your server use, and for Premium, to provide what you paid for and meet accounting rules. That's the lawful basis under UK GDPR, the bot can't work without it.

How long

  • When the bot is removed from a server, everything for that server is deleted after 30 days.
  • Payment records are kept as long as UK tax law requires, at least five years after the 31 January filing deadline for that tax year.

Deleting your data

Run /privacy in Discord, or use the button on your account page here. It deletes your levels, reminders, birthdays and the rest from every server straight away. Moderation records are kept so bans and warnings keep working, and a Premium subscription is kept so it keeps working until you cancel it.

Who else sees it

Discord, since the bot runs on it, and Stripe for payments. The bot and site run on servers we rent in Europe. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. Email studio@natchland.com for any of these.
